The SOHC CB750 is a screamer. Considered the original sport bike motor and built like a tank, its been a favorite power plant for metric chopper builders since the 70’s. Plenty of parts available, reliable, and lot’s of power.
I have been collecting parts for a few years now. My donor bike was a 1978 F2 super sport that was recked. The front forks were trashed but the engine did start. It ran ok but smoked a bit and plenty of carbon was visible on the valve stems. Good candidate for a rebuild.
I stripped it down and kept all that I thought was salvageable. I wish I had took a few pics before selling off the parts I didn’t need.
